Analects (Lunyu): Zizhang wrote it on his sash. Sub-commentary: Using a sash to bind the waist and letting the remainder hang down as decoration is what is called a sash. Also, Extensive Sophistry (Boya): A sash is a binding. Also, Supplement to the Rimes (Yunbu): Rhymes with lian.
