According to the Jade Chapters (Yupiān), it is the same as the character for the myna bird. The crested myna is a type of bird.
Book of Rites: Winter Offices, Artificers' Record (Zhouli: Dongguan Kaogongji): The crested myna does not fly across the Ji River.
Spring and Autumn Annals: Records of Duke Zhao, Year 25 (Chunqiu: Zhao Gong ershiwunian): The crested myna came to build a nest.
Lu Dian states: The children in the villages cut the tip of its tongue to teach it to speak, and it is very intelligent.
Li Shizhen states: This bird likes to bathe in water, and it looks around with terrified eyes, which is why it was given this name.
It also serves as a compound surname: Ququezi. Found in The Master Who Embraces Simplicity (Zhuangzi: Qiwulun).
