Pronounced peng.
In the Collection of Rhymes (Jiyun), it is pronounced peng, which has the same sound as peng.
Explained in Explaining and Analyzing Characters (Shuowen Jiezi) as to remove or exclude.
In the Cangjie Anthology (Cangjiepian), it refers to an illicit sexual union between a man and a woman.
According to the Han Dynasty Code (Hanlü), having illicit relations with a wife or a female servant is called ping. Furthermore, having sexual relations with a woman during a period of fasting and purification is punished by a fine of four taels, which is also called ping.
Additionally, in the Collection of Rhymes (Jiyun), it is pronounced peng, which has the same sound as peng. The meaning is the same.
