According to the Compilation of Rhymes (Jiyun), pronounced hun. It means to be unclear or muddled.
In the Book of Mencius (Mengzi), King Xuan of Qi stated: I am muddled.
Also, according to the Compilation of Rhymes (Jiyun), pronounced men. The meaning is the same.
Also, according to the Compilation of Rhymes (Jiyun), pronounced mian. Originally written as min. Sometimes written as hun. Also abbreviated as min. Xuanmin means to be blended or mixed.
Also pronounced kun. The same as men.
In the Records of the Later Han (Hou Hanshu), in the essay Response to Leisure by Zhang Heng: One does not see what is right and yet remains not muddled.
The commentary notes it carries the same meaning as men. Not is the same as hun.
