Shen Collection, Middle Volume. Radical: Insect (chóng). Page 1096, Entry 10. Pronounced liú. The appearance of a dragon. Also, as recorded in the Collection of Rhymes (Yunhui), pronounced liǔ. From the Biography of Sima Xiangru in the History of the Former Han Dynasty (Qian Hanshu): The azure dragon moves and twists (yòuliú) in the east hall. Commentary by Shigu: Yòuliú refers to the manner of moving. Also, according to the Zheng Yun dictionary, pronounced qiú. Same meaning. Also, according to the Jiyun dictionary, pronounced liào. Refers to a type of cicada. See the entry for the cicada character for details. Sometimes also written in a variant form (miù).
