Pronounced qiao. The name of a large bamboo pipe.
Erya (Erya), Explanation of Music: A large pipe is called a jiao.
Annotation: It is one foot long, one inch in circumference, lacquered together, and has a bottom. Mr. Jia considered it to be like a chi flute with six holes.
Commentary: Li Xun said: The sound is high and large, therefore it is called jiao. Jiao means high.
Also, according to Collected Rhymes (Jiyun), it is also a type of agricultural tool.
