Rhapsody on the Capital of Wu (Wudu Fu) by Zuo Si: Silk ribbons and purple-red fabrics. Commentary: Jiàng refers to the jiàng plant. It is produced in Linghe Prefecture and can be used for dyeing.
Also a place name. Chronicle of Zuo (Zuozhuan), 26th Year of Duke Zhuang: Shi Wei built the walls of Jiàng. Commentary: Jiàng was the capital of the State of Jin, currently located in Jiàngyi County, Pingyang.
