The meaning is to be full or filled. Some versions write it as kuo. It is also used interchangeably with heng. As stated in the Record of Music (Yueji): "Use heng to establish martial virtue," which refers to this meaning. It is also pronounced huang. According to the Erya: Explaining Grasses (Erya: Shicao), it is recorded as "zhuan kuang mu." A note explains that this is a type of grass, also known as jie lü. Colloquially, it is called gu zheng cao. According to the Correct Meaning Guide (Zhengzitong), its pronunciation and meaning are the same as kuo. It should be pronounced with the sound of kuo.
