Pronounced kuo. The name of a river. According to the Explaining Graphs and Analyzing Characters (Shuowen Jiezi), it is a river located in Lu. In the Spring and Autumn Annals (Chunqiu), during the nineteenth year of Duke Xiang, the fields of Zhu were taken from the direction of the Huo River. It is also the name of a county, belonging to the Northern Direct Province.
