Guangyun (Rhyme Dictionary of the Broad): Name of a tree.
Yupian (Jade Chapters): The bark of this tree can be used to make candles. Sometimes written in a variant form (huo), and generally used interchangeably with the character for flower (hua).
Zhuangzi (Master Zhuang), Chapter on Yielding the Throne (Rangwang pian): Yuan Xian wore a hat made of birch bark and ragged sandals.

Sima Xiangru, Rhapsody on the Shanglin Park (Shanglin fu): Birch, maple, and pinge trees.
