Pronounced huo. The motion of turning the hand over. To wave the hand is called hui; to turn the hand over is called huo. Also, in the Guangyun (Guangyun), it refers to a game involving rotating the hands. Also pronounced que. Used interchangeably with the characters representing the monopolization of trade. In the History of the Former Han (Qianhan shu), Biography of Wang Mang: Powerful officials and crafty people would punish and seize their wealth. The commentary states: This means to monopolize the profits exclusively and cause others to commit offenses that result in punishment. Also, in the Huainanzi (Huainanzi), Chapter on Truth (Chuzhen xun): How can it be said that there is no great expansion or flourishing?
