Guangyun (Broad Rhymes of the Guangyun): Pronounced hua. Jiyun (Collected Rhymes of the Jiyun), Yunhui (Collection of Rhymes), and Zhengyun (Correct Rhymes) all record the same pronunciation.
Yupian (Jade Chapters): Hualiu refers to a fine horse. It was one of the eight steeds of King Mu of Zhou. See the detailed entry for the character liu.
