Yupian (Jade Chapters): A covering for the hair.
Book of Jin (Jinshu): Chronicle of Emperor Xuan. Zhuge Liang challenged the Emperor to battle many times. The Emperor did not emerge. Consequently, Liang sent him a turban and a head ornament of a woman to insult him.

Also, in Haipian (Sea Chapters): Also written in a variant form (guo).
Shiming (Explanations of Names): The term guo means to expand or cover; it is a covering placed over the hair. People of Lu call it kui; people of Qi call it huang.
Book of the Later Han (Houhanshu): Treatise on Carriages and Attire. The noblewomen wore dark silk headdresses.
