Pronounced feng.
Jade Chapters (Yupian): Refers to the young sprouts of a turnip.
Yangzi: Regional Dialects (Fangyan): In the Chen and Chu regions, it is called feng; in the Lu and Qi regions, it is called rao; in the areas east and west of the pass, it is called turnip; in the Zhao and Wei regions, it is called large mustard. It is also written in a variant form (feng).
Commentary on the Erya (Erya Shu): The names feng, xu, turnip, manjing, suanwu, rao, and mustard all refer to the same plant.
Pronounced song. It is interchangeable with song.
Annotation to Yangzi: Regional Dialects (Fangyan): The term feng was historically pronounced as feng, but in the Jiangdong region today, it is pronounced as song, and the character is written as song.
