Zhengzitong (Zhengzitong) states it is the same as '荐'.
Lu Mi's Lushih (Lù Mì's Lùshǐ) states: I lament those who seek immortality for losing their original heart, therefore I admonish officials and scholars not to consider these words too absurd, for in the future there will be those who silently comprehend them. It also states: Sages create music to accord with the Dao of Heaven, and the five tones are called 'yòu'. The gong tone corresponds to trustworthiness and expresses the mind's intent. The zheng tone corresponds to decorum and expresses the spirit. The jiao tone corresponds to benevolence and expresses (missing original character). The shang tone corresponds to righteousness and expresses (missing original character). The yu tone corresponds to wisdom and expresses aspirations.
