"Jingdian Shiwen" explains: The character 䊷, in another version, is written as 緇.

"Wedding garments of plain silk shall not exceed five liang of silk" — Book of Odes (Shijing), "Shaonan" commentary.
"Jingdian Shiwen" explains: The character 䊷, originally had the form of the silk radical with 'cai' beside it. Later people mistakenly wrote 'tun' for 'cai', thus writing it as the character 纯. This is incorrect.
