Also known as Gang Mao (刚卯), a ritualistic object used to ward off evil spirits. The character's form incorporates the component "si" (巳) from the "Chen and Si" section. For a detailed explanation, refer to the annotation for the character "㱾".
Also, according to "Jiyun" (集韵), it is pronounced "gai" (falling tone). Furthermore, according to "Jiyun" (集韵), it is pronounced "ai" (falling tone), with the same meaning.
Note: The original form in "Shuowen Jiezi" (说文解字) was "㱾". This form is considered the standard.
