In the Shuowen Jiezi (Shuowen), it refers to the stone spirit tablet case in an ancestral temple. Formed from the Roof radical with the sound of zhu. Xu says it is a container made of stone for a spirit tablet. Another definition states it is a spirit tablet. In the Zuo Tradition (Zuozhuan), it is written that the Duke of Xu returned the stone spirit tablet. It was originally written as zhu. It is commonly written as zhu.
