Pronounced zàn. In "Book of Odes (Shijing)," it describes fierce birds of prey flying. "Guangyun" and "Yunhui" use the fanqie zè bǎn, while "Jiyun" uses zǔ bǎn, and "Zhengyun" uses zǔ xiàn, all pronounced the same as "zhàn." "Yupian" describes the posture of fierce avian attacks. "Leipian" refers to rapid flight. Yangzi's "Fayan" states: "Chihu are mighty and imposing; hawks and falcons fly swiftly."

Pronounced zàn. Also, "Jiyun" uses cái qiān, pronounced the same as "jiān," and zǐ qiǎn, pronounced the same as "jiǎn." The meanings are the same.
