Pronounced zheng
According to the Jade Chapters (Yupian), it is the same as the ti-jian bird. Also written as zheng.
Book of Rites (Liji), Monthly Ordinances (Yueling): In the final month of winter, the zheng bird is fierce and swift.
Guo Commentary: The zheng bird is the ti-jian. People of Qi call it the ji-zheng. It is also known as the hawk, which transforms into a dove in the spring.
Furthermore, in the Regional Dialects (Fangyan) by Yang Xiong, it is stated that in the regions of Qi and Lu, the ti-jian is called the zheng bird.
