Zi Collection, Upper Volume, Page 10, Entry 01 Pronounced yu (falling tone), same as "yi" (entering tone). Explained in the "Shuowen Jiezi" (Shuowen Dictionary) as: "When a matter is not yet accomplished, one becomes impatient and perverse." Note: The original character in "Shuowen Jiezi" was written as, a simplified form of the character "xian". The "Zihui" (Zihui Dictionary) followed the explanation in "Yupian" (Yupian Dictionary) with slight errors. The "Wuyin Jiyun" (Wuyin Jiyun Dictionary) was written as, with more obvious errors.
