History of the Later Han (Houhan shu), Biography of Cui Yin: To seek out Moye (a legendary sword) among the wise. Annotation: The Spring and Autumn of Wu and Yue (Wuyue chunqiu) states: Ganjiang was a man from the state of Wu. He forged two swords; one was called Ganjiang, and the other was called Moye. Moye was the name of Ganjiang's wife. When Ganjiang forged the swords, he collected the vital essences of five great mountains and fused the brilliance of six types of metal. Many deities descended to watch, and thus the swords were cast.
