In "Eastern Capital Rhapsody" (Dongdu Fu) by Ban Gu, there is the sentence "shì nù wèi xiè" (士怒未㳿). Also pronounced yǐ zhì qiè, pronounced yè. The "Book of Rites" (Quli) records "cōng xiè chǔ mò" (葱渫处末). The commentary explains: xiè (渫) is steamed scallions. It is written as 渫 in the Stone Classics.
