Zi Collection, Upper Volume, Page 74, Entry 01 Radical: Insect (chóng) Pronounced míng (rising tone) "Míng" and "hào" are names of insects. The "Guangya" (Guangya) states that "jūn hào" is "míng hào." The "Discourse on Statecraft" (Jinyu) says: It is like oxen and horses, when the "Chushu" (Chushu) solar term arrives, "míng" and "hào" are already numerous, yet they cannot flick their tails. The commentary explains: The large ones are called "míng," and the small ones are called "hào."
