Pronounced tan. Refers to a river shoal. Additional usage: refers to rapid currents.
Also pronounced tan. According to the Erya (Erya), the Tai Sui (a celestial body in traditional astrology) is called Tuntan when it is in the Shen position.
Also pronounced tan (falling tone). Same meaning as above.
Also pronounced han. Refers to something that was wetted by water and subsequently dried. Identical to the character han. In the Shuowen (Shuowen), it is written as a variant form.
