Jiyun (集韵) annotates the pronunciation as ta-ji (他计) qie, with the same pronunciation as "ti" (替). Yùpiān (玉篇) explains it as nose. There is another pronunciation, tu-li (土礼) qie, with the same pronunciation as "ti" (体). It means to remove nasal mucus.
