It also refers to a type of grass, known as fuxu. In the Rhyme Collection (Yunhui), it is commonly written as the variant form tai. According to Lu Ji's Commentary on the Book of Odes (Shijing), tai is the sedge grass. In the poetry of Xie Tiao, it is written: The thick shade flourishes in the farming season, the sedge-grass hats gather in the eastern fields.
