According to the Extensive Dictionary of Sounds and Meanings (Guangyun) and the Collected Rimes (Jiyun), it refers to a camel with a fleshy hump. It can travel one hundred li, carry one thousand catties, and knows how to traverse water. It also refers to a government title. In the Table of Officers and Ministers of the Former Han (Qianhan Baiguan Gongqing Biao), there is a reference to the Prefect and Assistant of the Camel and Hoofed Animal Bureau. It is also written in a variant form (tuo).
