Guangyun (Guǎngyùn), Jiyun (Jíyùn), and Yunhui (Yùnhuì): Pronounced tóng. It is a surname. Yanlu (Yànlù) mentions Tong Wan of Liaodong, who was known for his literary works. Also used in personal names. In the Biography of Recluses from the Book of the Later Han (Hòuhàn shū): Tai Tong, courtesy name Xiaowei. Zhengzitong (Zhèngzìtōng) notes this is a corruption of Tong Tai.
