Correct Rimes (Zhengyun) defines it as the beginning of shedding milk teeth. Hanshi Waizhuan states: A boy grows teeth at eight months and sheds milk teeth at eight years. Yu Xin, in Qi Wang Xian, writes: Not yet past the age of shedding teeth, he was already discussing the great affairs of the realm. Also, Collected Rimes (Jiyun) states it is pronounced tiao, with the same meaning.
