Pronounced tiáo. Tiáoyáo, describes the appearance of a mountain that is high and towering. Zhang Heng, Western Capital Rhapsody (Xijing fu): The form is upright and towering.
In the Collected Rhymes (Jiyun), it is sometimes written in a variant form (tiáo). Tiáo refers to the shape of a mountain.
