Zi Collection, Middle Volume, Page 310, Entry 03 Pronounced shí (entering tone), same as "shù". Explained in "Boyá" as a scabbard for a sword. Also pronounced zhí (entering tone), same as "shù". Meaning is the same. "Zhèngzìtōng" quotes the "Shiji" passage "xì guān shú bù", referring to coarse sewing. Note: The original text in "Shiji" is written as "shú", using the Grain (hé) radical instead of the Clothing (yī) radical.
