Pronounced suǒ jiào (falling tone), same sound as "shāo" in the Jiyun. When the sharp part of an object is cut off, it is called "suǒ". Sometimes also written as "yào" or "shào". Additionally, the Zihui Bu records it as the appearance of unclear vision. The "Tai Xuan Jing" by Yangzi states: "Suǒ tí míng dé, huò zūn zhī xíng." The commentary explains: "Suǒ" means the appearance of unclear vision.
