Tang Yun says: Pronounced yuan (rising tone). Jiyun says: Pronounced yuan (rising tone). It is the same as the character for complete. In Explaining Graphs and Analyzing Characters (Shuowen Jiezi), the character for complete was originally written in the form represented by this entry. Master Xu says: It is interpreted as something crafted by an artisan, being a compound ideograph. Zhengzitong says: Zi-Hui treats it as an archaic form of the character for complete. It is not known that the archaic form of the character for complete is written as that form. The form represented by this entry is the original version of the character for complete, not an archaic form of it. Note: It is different from the character for same. The character for same is composed with the radical for person, while this character is composed with the radical for enter. Furthermore, Zhengzitong includes another character below this one which has already been recorded under the Radical: Small (xiǎo), thus it is a repetitive entry and has now been deleted. Zi Collection, Page Position: Lower Radical: Enter (rù) Page 126, Entry 05
