According to "Jiyun" and "Yunhui," the pronunciation is qu-zhong qie, pronounced qiong (falling tone). It means a tiny appearance. Zhang Heng's "Si Xuan Fu" states: "Resent Gaoyang for looking at me, [and] dwelling in the dark." The commentary explains: Xiang means to look. Yu means to dwell. This line is a complaint that Zhuanxu dwells in this narrow and simple place. The north is called You. It also has the meaning of bent. It is also written as 䠻.
