Zi Collection, Upper Volume, Page 45, Entry 07 Pronounced qiao (rising tone). A type of fish. According to the "Zhengzitong" (Zhengzitong), this is the same as yanglü. "Xunzi: Chapter on Glory and Disgrace" mentions "tiáo liú", a fish that likes to float on the surface of the water to bask in the sun. The commentary states that this fish likes to float to the surface of the water to be near the sunlight. Another name for it is yanglü. According to "Zhuanzhu Guyin" (Zhuanzhu Guyin), the character liú has the radical "ben" (ben), which is pronounced "dao" (rising tone). Therefore, "liú" is pronounced "qiao" (rising tone). The character was mistakenly written as "liú" by the common people, pronounced "bo" (rising tone), which is incorrect. The writing of the character liú is derived from "ben".
