Qieyun uses "fang" and "zhi" for fanqie pronunciation. Yunhui uses "pin" and "zhi" for fanqie pronunciation, pronounced the same as "pi". Shuowen Jiezi explains it as "li". Xu Kai says: This is a piece of wood connecting the eaves, located at the top of the rafters. Zhang Heng's "Xijing Fu" has the sentence "lou jian wen li". The commentary cites "Shenglei" saying: "li" refers to connected buildings. Also, Jiyun uses "bian" and "mi" for fanqie pronunciation, pronounced the same as "bi". It means the lintel.
