Pronounced yu. In the Comprehensive Rhymes (Guangyun) and Collection of Rhymes (Jiyun), it is noted as a sound similar to yu. According to the Jade Chapters (Yupian), the term ou-yi indicates internal sorrow.
Also, in the Comprehensive Rhymes (Guangyun), Collection of Rhymes (Jiyun), and Rhyme Compilation (Yunhui), it is pronounced yu. According to the Comprehensive Rhymes (Guangyun), the term ou-xi refers to the sound of illness. In the Corrected Rhymes (Zhengyun), it is considered the same as the character for warm (yu).
