The flourishing descendants of Zhurong are likely those of the Mi surname — Discourses of the States (Guoyu).
Luzhong had six sons, the sixth was named Jilian, of the Mi surname, and the people of Chu are his descendants — Records of the Grand Historian (Shǐjì).
Commentary: The Mi surname is that from which all the royalty of the State of Chu originated. Mi mimics the sound of a sheep.
