Kangxi Dictionary

Pronounced mo dian qie in the Tang Yun (Tang Yun), and mian jian qie in the Jiyun (Jiyun) and Yunhui (Yunhui), with the same pronunciation as "mian" (face). The Yupian (Yupian) explains it as "dian yan (滇㴐)", describing the appearance of vast water. There is a sentence in Zuo Si's "Wu Du Fu" (Wu Du Fu): "dian yan miao man (滇㴐淼漫)". The commentary explains this as the appearance of vast and boundless mountains and waters. Additionally, in the Jiyun (Jiyun), it is also pronounced mi tian qie, with the same pronunciation as "mian" (to glance). It refers to "tian yan (淟㴐)", describing the form of water.
