Pronounced luo
According to the Broad Rhymes (Guangyun), it is a mule.
In the Correct Rhymes (Zhengyun), it is written in a variant form (luo).
In the Springs and Autumns of Mr. Lu (Lushi Chunqiu), Zhao Zi, a subject of Yangcheng, became ill. The physician said, if he obtains the liver of a white mule, he will live; if he does not, he will die. The son killed his beloved white mule, took its liver, and gave it to him.
According to the Separate Biography of Immortals (Shenxian Biezhuan), after Li Shaojun died, someone saw him later in Hedong, Puban, riding a green mule. The emperor heard this, opened the coffin, but there was nothing inside.
In a poem by Li He, it is written: Shaojun rides over the sea, people see that he is on a green mule.
