Zhengzitong (Comprehensive Correction of Characters) states that this character is interchangeable with luo, luo, and luo. In the Fu Pian (Chapter on Rhapsodies) of the Xunzi (Xunzi), there is the following description: There is a thing here, stark naked and bare; its form changes repeatedly like that of a spirit. The commentary states that here it is pronounced luo, referring to a silkworm. Textual investigation: The original text reads In the Fu Lun Pian (Chapter on Rhapsodies and Discourses) of the Xunzi, there is a thing here luo luo. I have carefully deleted the character lun according to the original text. The commentary reads as luo. I have carefully changed the text to read as luo, following the original Xunzi commentary.
