Enlightened Elegance (Boya): Gou-lou is a mountain, Mount Heng. In Hengzhou, the Southern Peak has Gou-lou Peak, where the inscription of the divine Yu is located.
Record of the Vast World (Guangyu Ji): Yu offered sacrifices at Mount Heng and dreamed of an azure water messenger who bestowed a golden jade tablet here. Today, the Yu stele consists of tadpole-style characters.
Han Yu, Poem on Mount Gou-lou: The peak of Mount Gou-lou bears the divine Yu stele, with green characters on red stone and a strange appearance.
