Pronounced long. A grave or tomb. According to the Dialect (Fangyan), in the regions of Qin and Jin, a grave is referred to as a mound. According to the Book of Rites (Liji), one should not climb upon the mound of a grave when visiting a burial ground. It also refers to a raised ridge in a field. According to the Records of the Grand Historian (Shiji), one ceases plowing and walks upon the field ridge. Also pronounced long. According to the Seven Remonstrances (Qi Jian) by Dongfang Shuo, following ancient institutions to bestow virtue, repairing the tomb of Bi Gan. It rhymes with the character in the following line. It is also written in a variant form (long). It is used interchangeably with the character (long).
