Book of Odes (Shijing): This one does not gather the bundles. The commentary explains that it refers to the ungathered bundles of harvested grain.
Book of Documents (Shangshu): Gather these five blessings. The commentary explains it as the way of gathering together the five blessings.
Rites of Zhou (Zhouli): Use the nine taxes to collect wealth and goods.
Also, Book of Etiquette and Ceremonial (Yili): To store the square mat. The commentary explains that to store means to conceal.
Also, according to the Broad Dictionary of Matters (Boya), it means to take. It also means to desire, to give, and to be brief.
Also a surname. Zuo Commentary (Zuozhuan): Gonglian Chufu drove the chariot for Meng Yizi.
According to the Broad Dictionary of Rhymes (Guangyun), the Yao Qin records mention the General who Assists the State, Lian Xian.

Also, according to the Collected Rhymes (Jiyun), pronounced lian (rising tone). Lianyu is a place name. Zuo Commentary (Zuozhuan): The Marquis of Jin and the Marquis of Qi formed an alliance at Lianyu. The commentary states it is a location in the State of Wei. The explanation of characters notes that Lian is sometimes pronounced like lian.
According to the Collection of Rhymes (Yunhui), written as a variant form, which is incorrect. Refer to the note under the Lack (qian) radical regarding the variant form.
