Kangxi Dictionary

Zi Collection, Upper Volume, Page 10, Entry 01 Pronounced kuan (falling tone). Also pronounced kuan. Originally written "款". "Tuhu," meaning "is keku" — "Erya, Shicao" (Erya, Shicao). The commentary explains this is "kuandong." It has purple-red flowers and grows in water. Scholarly investigation: [The original text of "Erya, Shicao" was "菟蒵顆凍".] This is now corrected according to the original text as "菟奚顆涷".
