Jiyun (Jíyùn), Yunhui (Yùnhuì), and Zhengqun (Zhèngqún) give the fanqie spelling qū wáng qiē, pronounced kuāng. Yu Pian (Yùpiān) states that kuāngxiáng means "hasty" or "hurried". Guangyun (Guǎngyùn) defines kuāngxiáng as "having a pressed or urgent appearance". Jiyun mentions that kuāng is sometimes written as a variant form. Pian Hai (Piānhǎi) states that it is sometimes written as a variant form.
