Pronounced qiu jia (falling tone), similar to "que". Explained in Guangyun (Guangyun) as "to bite". Explained in Zilin (Zilin) as "to bite forcefully". Explained in Liushu Gu (Liushu Gu) as "bone stuck between teeth and unable to be removed". Liu Zongyuan's "Jie Sui Fu" (Jie Sui Fu) contains the sentence "Du qi si er yu wu, yu teng fei er guo". Another pronunciation is qiu jia (falling tone), similar to "gua". Another pronunciation is kou xia (falling tone), similar to "ta". The meaning is the same. Additionally, in Jiyun (Jiyun) and Leipian (Leipian), there is another pronunciation kou ge (rising tone), similar to "ke". "Guo" describes the appearance of teeth.
