According to "Tang Yun," the pronunciation is ju yu qie. "Ji Yun" states the pronunciation is ju yu qie, with the same sound as "ju." "Shuowen Jiezi" explains it as grasping or holding with the hand. Xu Xuan commented that the current common character is written separately as "ju," which is incorrect. "Ji Yun" also records another form as "jue." Furthermore, "Ji Yun" records another pronunciation, quan ju qie, with the same sound as "qu." This refers to "ju shu," describing the appearance of scattered branches and leaves. Note: In "Tai Jing," this character is written with the "wood" radical and appears as "zhui." "Zhengzitong" believes it derives its sound from "qu" and is not the pronunciation of "ju." The term "claw holding" means to grasp, and it should be an error or omission in the transmission of the character "jue."
