Refers to the color blue-green. Tao Yinjū states that this is the color used for dyeing blue and green. "Yanshi Jiaxun" records that people in the Wu region pronounce "gǎn" as "jìn," and therefore use the "silk" radical with "lǐn" to replace the character "gǎn."
